In the Star Trek Customizable Card Game (CCG), dilemmas are cards that represent obstacles or challenges that a player’s personnel must overcome during a mission attempt. When a player attempts a mission, they reveal the top card of their dilemma pile and attempt to meet its requirements using their personnel and other cards.
If the player cannot meet the requirements of a dilemma, their personnel are “stopped” and prevented from continuing the mission attempt. However, if the player successfully overcomes the dilemma, they receive a benefit, such as extra points towards completing the mission or an ability that can be used later in the game.
