Exploration themed board games are fun, strategic and addictive to play as well. The goal of these games is to explore an area or region of the table. Each player starts with a map. As you explore a region, the map will expand. You may want to take a break from your adventures to visit local markets, merchants, or other areas.
Each map is placed on the table in a variety of positions: from the center of the table to the bottom edge of the table to the back edge.Players may take turns playing cards in their starting hand ,or they may flip the cards facing them to play with any of these options.
When all players have done with their exploration the adventurers can move on to the next area of play.

In the course of play, each player moves a token (representing his explorer) from explored hexagons to blank hexagons one at a time.; terrain, native tribes and other discoveries within the hexagons are then semi-randomly determined, with allowance made for previous discoveries in adjacent hexagons. The player interacts with the discoveries (e.g. negotiates with new natives for guides) and records them on the mapboard using wax crayons. The mapboard surface is erasable.

The year is 2019 and here on planet Earth, we are faced with a big decision: Are we to deplete Earth’s natural resources, surely guaranteeing our species extinction, or will we expand our reach into the great unknown and seek the riches outer space has to offer?
Playing as the CEO of one of 4 space exploration companies, the goal is to be the first player to build their fleet of ships and explore beyond our Solar System. Space awaits – it’s up to you to make smart investments while sending your rocket ships to planets, moons, and eventually out into the Galaxy!
As you explore and build you’ll be seeking untapped resources for sale on the interplanetary market. You can grow your capital, increase your fleet, and expand your holdings within the Solar System—but one false move, and your organization will be on the wrong end of the space boom.
Will YOU be the first to reach the stars?

Drake is one of three Seraphim-class frigates built by the Terra Novan Theocracy. Captured just prior to launch at the New Albion Shipyards, the ConFederation repurposed these ships for reconnaissance and exploration. Originally built to fullfill a variety of roles, including escort and troop insertion duties, the versatile craft has hangar space for half a dozen fighters and a huge cargo bay originally intended to carry troops and hover tanks.
At 292 feet long, this PL-7 frigate carries a crew of 18 and a complement of six Sparrowhawk-class fighters. Though only lightly armed as a vessel of exploration, statistics and story for a more heavily armed “pirate” configurations are also included. Exploration, reconnaissance, journeys to distant stars – Drake is designed to fill these roles and more.
The year is 3200 and mankind’s empire lies in ashes.
The Jump Gates fell six hundred years ago, severing the links between the myriad worlds of the human diaspora.
Now, the long isolation of the Silence falls away as men and women return to the skies above their scattered worlds.
Will you be among them?
Nine hundred and thirty-five years ago, the Aeth attacked Earth. They abducted millions of humans. Not just humans, though. The Aeth arrived with a ship bigger than Earth and took entire chunks of the planet with them, setting them down like sod on the surface of their worldship. They never communicated with us, made no demands, they just did it, and then their worldship slowly accelerated back up to a fraction of lightspeed and with its tiny suns providing light, disappeared into the interstellar dark.
You are a descendant of those original involuntary colonists. Over the centuries, we have discovered that we are not alone. The Aeth remain silent and out of sight, living inside their worldship and only rarely venturing to the surface, but humanity has plenty of company on the surface.
Freebooters rampage across Mars, Nazis plot new atrocities, savage beasts prey on colonists and above all the sinister Europans loom. The solar system needs heroes – heroes like you!
Heroes of the Solar System, the second sourcebook for Rocket Age, offers you a look at the heroes of the rocket set. The focus of Heroes of the Solar System is on the player characters, though Gamemasters will still find plot hooks and episode ideas galore.
This book is just filled with new ideas for familiar species, new organizations for your heroes to fight for (and sometimes against), new equipment to use in their explorations and adventures, new character traits, and new species.
