Today we learned so much about the Wizards of the Coasts future plans…
First of Wizards got a new logo and website, which I think looks pretty nifty.
Then, the big news: Magic: The Gathering will be expanding their line-up with Universes Beyond. Which will be Magic expansions licensed from other universes. There will be Warhammer 40k themed Commander sets released in 2022, along with a full set themed around Lord of the Rings. These Universes 
Beyond sets will not be standard legal and will be recognizable by a unique frame in combination with the tighty-whitey shaped foil stamp famous from the controversial Walking Dead secret lairs set, which was clearly WotC’s way to test the waters.
Interesting side note, that I personally did not know about until I noticed it on their new website is a new game called Magic Spellslingers, which looks to be a card battler..not sure what is going on here? The trailer video does not reveal much of gameplay, but it looks like a cross between Arena and Hearthstone
Further news reveals Wizards is now it’s own company within Hasbro, which is cool…I guess? And Wizards is developing dozens of new games, which I am actually looking forward too 🙂
